Jason Lavery
Registered Psychotherapist
I am happy to work with an extensive range of clients and organize my practice around providing Client-Centred Therapy grounded in empirically-based approaches such as Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). Additionally, I have lived experience as a first responder and am passionate about addressing the unique challenges associated with fulfilling such roles. In my experience working with people over the last 10 years, I've found that often their challenges are best addressed first and foremost by being heard; this act of listening is a gift that unlocks the resources hidden within.

I am a practitioner of mindfulness-based practices and find they help support and enrich my ability to serve clients. I have years of experience supporting youth with ADHD, ASD and various learning and behavioural challenges. Additionally, I have worked with families and individuals looking to improve their lives concerning life skills and trauma.

I understand that people struggle because I have and do struggle. I aim to connect with my client wherever they may find themselves in life and help guide them through the challenges they face by aligning them with their innate strengths and skills.
