As a Registered Social Worker, Psychotherapist, Yoga Therapist (trauma informed), Mindfulness teacher who has more than 30 years of experience in social services, Arlene uses a collaborative and interactive approach in her service. Arlene works alongside individuals experiencing a range of difficulties including traumatic stress, occupational stress, moral injury, stress, anger, depression, anxiety, and grief and loss. Drawing upon skills from Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), EMDR, Dialectical Behavioural Therapy (DBT), Mindfulness Based Cognitive Therapy (MBCT), Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction (MBSR), and evidence informed trauma theory Arlene shares tools, resources, and strategies to build capacity for meaningful change.
Additionally, Arlene has a special interest in serving First Responders, Veterans, and their respective families. Arlene has participated in additional training and has experience serving those who have served. She has provided treatment to address traumatic response, anxiety, depression, adjustment, and life transitions. Arlene is always happy to provide a 15 minute consultation to determine how she may be of assistance.
